PEG is a 501c3 non-profit, and you will receive a receipt by mail.
Donations and Administration
PEG is unusual in that 100% of donations go directly to projects in Guatemala
unless the donor specifies otherwise. Since PEG is entirely volunteer in the US, we
keep our administrative costs very low. There are costs, though (printing, web site,
travel to Guatemala, etc.), so if you would like some reasonable percentage of your
donation to help with administration, please
and let us know your preference. (To clarify: if we don't hear from you, none
of your donation wil go to administration.)

Designating a Particular Project
If you are interested in supporting a particular project or fundraising campaign, and you
would like to designate your donation, feel free to
to let us know of your preference. Some projects are already fully funded and some needs
shift over time, but we'll make every effort to satisfy your request and to be in
touch with you if we can't.
* a note about credit card fees
PEG goes to great lengths to let you know right where your money is going. To that end,
please note that PayPal takes their processing fee out from online donations before they
reach PEG. That fee is 30 cents per transaction plus 2.9% of the donation amount. As an example,
the fee for a hundred dollar donation would be $2.90 plus .30, or $3.20, so $96.80 will reach
PEG. If you would prefer to avoid those fees, feel free to simply send a check
